Harbour Pixel
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what people ask us most.
Can I play the games on this site?
No. Harbour Pixel only writes about the games. Each review links to the official site where the game is played, so you always get the real, up-to-date version.
Are the games free?
Every game on our list can be played for free in a web browser. Some show adverts or offer an optional membership; each review says exactly what to expect.
Do I need to download anything?
No. All of them run in a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. If a page ever asks you to install something to play, close it: you are probably on a copy site.
Why only ten games?
Ten is enough to cover platforming, puzzles, toys and classics without padding. We would rather tell you about ten games we love than a hundred we skimmed.
Do you earn money when I click a link?
No. There are no affiliate links and nobody pays to appear here. Links are plain links to the official game pages.
Are these games suitable for children?
Browser games are usually not age-rated, so we give our own suggested age in every review and note adverts, accounts and chat. A grown-up should still try a game first.
How can I suggest a game or report a mistake?
Use the contact page or email us. We read every message and fix mistakes quickly.
Why are some famous browser games missing?
We leave out copies on portal sites, games that need a download, and anything with random paid rewards. If the original creator does not host it, we do not list it.
